Touch:
As we now know, the longer the fibers, the more flexibility they have. It means that they bend more easily and offer less resistance to the passage of the hand, which translates into better touch (The higher the pile, the better the touch). For lower pile of heights since the fibers are shorter, they offer less flexibility and therefore greater resistance to the passage of the hand (The shorter the pile, the worse the touch).
